I live in a slight variation of the Winona. Built in 1930. Love it! :)
In Cincinnati, the Rodessa and the Crescent will give your four a run for your money - we have over 40 Rodessas! The Vallonia is the number one though!

I have to join the club too - The Vallonia, The Westly, and The Winona have always been my own personal favorites as well!!
In my neighborhood, we have 2 Sears Starlights & a Winona, & one Vallonia.

My Grandfather was a Builder in SEYMOUR,Indiana and he builder his home and many others in the town. And I own the Home place. It looks like the Vallonia but a little large.

Hi there. I live in Syracuse, N.Y.. There's a Sears kit home on one of the bigger main roads, James St. It's actually one of the mansions, but I can't honestly say I know what specific kit home it was. But I remember that within the past 10 years, I had read an article in the Syracuse newspaper(remember when people used those as a way to get your information regarding news? lol) that it was given some type of mark/grade, and it (at the time) had been either the HIGHEST(or one of the highest grades) for that particular kit. I'm actually going to see what I can find on Google now,but I'm writing you first so I wouldn't have forgotten to do so. I'm certain we have a Winona. Or a knock-off of one if they did that .
I've come across some boards with quick-scrawled pencil writing but nothing with numbers. We took ours down to the studs so not much could have hidden from us.

Hi, Bobi! During the Winona years, Sears usually was stamping the lumber with alphanumeric codes.

Hi Robbie! No we don't have record of a Sears house in that town. Shipping the building materials from the midwest was very expensive, so it is exceedingly rare when we find a Sears house on the west coast. You can email me the address and I can take a look!
